Sun TV posts Rs159 cr profit.

Sun TV Network today posted 23.66 per cent decline in its net profit for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2012 at Rs 159.03 crore.


The firm's net profit for the January-March 2011 stood at Rs 208.34 crore.


The media company's sales for the fourth quarter of 2011-12 also declined 7.27 per cent to Rs 427.01 crore against Rs 460.50 crore, it said in a filing to the BSE.


For the fiscal year 2011-12, Sun TV Network's net profit dipped 10.62 per cent to Rs 694.65 crore as compared to Rs 777.22 crore in the previous fiscal.


Its sales declined in 2011-12 to Rs 1,757.37 crore against Rs 1,923.71 crore in 2010-11.


For the financial year ended March, 2012, the company has declared 15 per cent dividend of Re 0.75 per equity share of Rs 5 each.


The company's scrip closed at Rs 251.05, up 0.30 per cent from its previous close on the BSE.
