Cine Thirai Added On Dialog TV -45*East - Dialog TV have increased the number of channels

Cine Thirai Added On Dialog TV -45*East -

Dialog TV have increased the number of channels

At the moment the Test channels comprises of the following,
Test 1 - MTV Sports
Test 2 - CITI HITz (not sure if this channel is a good idea, it was a flop a few years ago)
Test 3 - MTV India
Test 4 - Cine Thirai (Tamil)
Test 5 - Sony Six
Test 6 - Sundance Channel
Test 7 - Universal Channel
Test 8 - E channel (good for those interested in Hollywood gossip, not sure it will last)

Quality has improved in the MPEG4 transponders. At the moment Dialog TV is running 3 MPEG2 DVB-S1 transponders, 1 MPEG4 DVB-S1 transponder & 2 MPEG4 DVB-S2 transponder. The conversion of an additional transponder has given additional capacity for Dialog TV to add a few extra channels. However more capacity will be available if and when Dialog TV converts the other 3 MPEG2 transponders too, this is not expected any time soon considering the time taken to convert just one.

LBN retransmitting channels via Indian DTH - srilanka cable tv

LBN retransmitting channels via Indian DTH
 - srilanka cable tv

According to reports reaching us LBN Cable TV is now retransmiting many channels off Indian DTH providers. This has resulted in many subscribers loosing channels during rain owing to rain fade affecting the channels being retransmitted off DTH providers.

In addition we are being told that Asian feeds of some channels are being replaced by Indian feed counterparts.

In the case of History Channel it should be noted that over time it was rebranded to Fox Traveller and then another History Channel was launched which we believe was not added to LBN as yet.

We hope LBN stops retransmitting off Indian DTH and reverts back to their previous method of retransmitting off the original feeds.

Eurosports to be replaced...Dialog Tv

Eurosports to be replaced...

Dialog does it again, the sports channel Eurosports that transmits many non-cricketing action such as Tennis, Cycling, Winter Sports is being replaced by a yet unnamed channel come Friday,June 21st 2013.

The channel that will be added in favour of Eurosports is not known as yet, but it will likely be a sports channel, probably Star Sports 2, Sony Six or even worse DD Sports. Who knows it could be Ten Golf.

Eurosports is known for telecasting sports that are not usually telecast in this nation by big names such as Star & Ten.

Therefore the removal of Eurosports will be a blow for fans of cycling, tennis & winter sports. We are hoping that Dialog TV will reconsider this move.

Dialog's obsession with replacing channels is very evident with this move.
