another imp thing, a Tv set itself is quite significant so unless & Untill mainstream brands such as SONY, SAMSUNG, LG, TOSHIBA etc start making DDB enabled TV this concept is doubtful. you cant compare a VIDEOCON LED TV with a SAMSUNG or SONY HD LED TV.
DDB seems to be response of Videocon and Philips to Smart TV versions of Samsung , Sony etc but still far away. Wondering how with 450MHz processor such tall claims are made. 2D to 3D format conversion is the USP. However no information available how this conversion is made and how effective it is.

Rajinikanth’s Shankar directed Sivaji (2005) is now ready in a new 3D avatar. Rajinikanth himself saw the film recently and was mighty impressed by the 3D effects.
Rajinikanth’s Shankar directed Sivaji (2005) is now ready in a new 3D avatar. Rajinikanth himself saw the film recently and was mighty impressed by the 3D effects.
AVM Saravanan the producer of the film told a newspaper: “Sivaji in 3D has come out well. In fact recently Rajinikanth watched the 3D version and enjoyed it.The 3D version has a running time of 2 hours and 17 minutes.”
The original running time of Sivaji is 185 minutes, which has now been cut down to 137 minutes, to suit the 3D format. 48 minutes of the film has been trimmed.

New appointment for Vendar TV as it readies for launch
Vendar TV, the new general entertainment group from India’s SRM Group, has enlisted K Murugan as business head to establish and run the new venture.
Murugan was previously responsible for the sales operations in the South and East of India for Kalaignar TV Network.
“I am excited to take up this responsibility as Business Head in this highly competitive market. My immediate role is to set up the channel and its launch. We are aiming and planning to be at the number two position,” Murugan told exchange4media.
Murugan has almost 20 years experience in sales and marketing across the television, radio and print sectors. He began his career in 1993 at Sun TV, where he spent ten years, before moving on to launch Sun’s Suryan FM in Chennai, Coimbatore, Tirunelveli and Vishakhapatnam. He has also held managerial positions at the Tamil daily Dinakaran and Zee Tamil.
Murugan left Kalaignar TV in January, and took up his new duties at Vendar TV on 6 February. He will report to the new channel’s board of directors.
